ANNOUNCEMENT!
The Friends of the Library got our library a subscription to Touch Tone Tales. Children (Or adults- we don't check) can hear a 4-7 minute story. They contain music, sound effects and wacky humor. Soon they'll be on our website too. Stories will change each week. These miniature theater pieces are designed for elementary kids as well as toddlers. Call 251-943-8988!

	Elementary school children are using the Touch Tone Tales program as extra credit. The children listen to it at home and answer a couple of questions about it the next day and get extra credit. A teacher presented the program and the other teachers loved it. She suggested that the parents listen to it and then let the kids listen to it in the car on the way from soccer practice or while waiting for another child to finish practice (even at the doctor’s office). Isn’t the cell phone great! The discussion that follows will help with comprehension. Another way to use the Touch Tone Tales according to the teachers at Taylor is on the speaker phone. The older children discuss the story picking out the character and setting. This is all being presented to the local school board as well as our library board. Thank you for being so awesome!
